How You Can Help
Donate Toys
Help put something special under the tree for a local child. Individuals, families, businesses, churches and community organizations can purchase and donate new, unwrapped toys for our Christmas toy program. Toy donations give parents an opportunity to select gifts their children will enjoy opening on Christmas morning.
Be An Old Newsboy
One of the most recognizable Old Newsboys traditions is selling our newspapers throughout the community. Volunteer for a shift, grab a stack of papers and help us raise money for local children. Individuals, families, businesses and community organizations are welcome to participate.
Become A Member
Join the Old Newsboys Association of Marine City and become part of a local tradition of neighbors helping neighbors. Annual membership is just $10. Members can participate in fundraising activities, volunteer projects, meetings, toy collection and organization, and other activities that support local children and families during the Christmas season.
Donate
Don’t have time to volunteer? You can still make a difference. Financial donations help the Old Newsboys Association provide Christmas assistance to eligible local children and families. Every donation, large or small, helps us continue our mission.
Help Organize Toys
There is a lot of work that happens behind the scenes before Christmas.
Volunteers are needed to help collect, sort, organize and prepare donated toys. It’s a great way for individuals, families, coworkers and community groups to volunteer together and see firsthand the generosity of our community.
Businesses & Organizations Can Get Involved Too
Local businesses, schools, churches, clubs and organizations can support the Old Newsboys by:
- Hosting a toy collection
- Making a financial donation
- Providing volunteers
- Selling Old Newsboys newspapers
- Sponsoring or supporting fundraising activities
- Encouraging employees or members to participate
